After going through a divorce, she was determined to reclaim her financial independence. As a mother of three beautiful girls, she utilized the power of couponing to cut expenses and save money.  Once she improved her situation, she was able to leverage her determination and donate over $100,000 to those in need. Nowodazkij is the VP of Communication for YARWA and adjunct faculty member of Howard Community College in Maryland. She has been traveling around the world from an early age. She was born in Europe and raised in a tiny village in France. As a young child she loved to read, and she soon realized books could be taken with her no matter where she lived. She later moved to the United States where she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Language and European Studies. In the glow of a new marriage, she became actively involved in the Young Adult Chapter of the Romance Writers of America (YARWA) where she received lots of encouragement to write and publish her first novel.
